Steps to a Healthier Life
Small steps. You hear that all the time, right? But it's so true.
* Take the stairs when ever you can. Our heart is a muscle that needs to work out regularly, just like the rest of our body. It's okay if you have to take a rest a few times on the way up.
* I plan on eating a hearty breakfast every morning but sometimes life has other plans. Eating a quick piece of whole wheat toast lathered in almond butter, cinnamon & chia seeds, is wayyy better than nothing, as I run out the door.
* Creating new water mixes keeps me from getting too bored. This glass of water & crushed ice is doused with fresh mint + frozen grapes.
* Schedule in time to relax. It's easy for people to become overextended with obligations, feel totally exhausted, and well...get a little crabby. Take time out to just enjoy life.
