5 Reasons to Prepare Meals Ahead of Time

Top 5 reasons why I like to prepare food ahead of time:
1. When I feel like spending another hour some afternoon working on my tennis serve, I can (and I so need it). Why? Because I already spent an extra couple of hours of food prep last Sunday. 2. I get that call in the middle of the day from my daughter saying, "Mom, I think I've been bitten by a brown recluse spider", so I spend the better part of an early evening at the doctor's office. Sooo glad I had most of the dinner prepared ahead of time. 3. Save dollars and calories, by not going through the drive-thru. 4. Less stress. I keep a rotating master list of about 20 different meals. I plan on what meals we'll have when, so I'm not making a frantic run to the grocery store (I know I'm not the only one) four or five times every week. 5. Reduces food waste. Gone are the days of throwing away food not used in the refrigerator. Fooooor instance, we recently ended up with an extra couple of bags of chips and more salsa than we could possibly consume at one time (Thank you, dear friends)
Because of that, bean, cheese and salsa nachos ended up on the dinner menu the next day. No waste!
No disgrace..
